We had been so proud with this interview with hip-hop extraordinaire Marlon "Loonie" Peroramas.

With video views numbering by hundreds of millions, this rags-to-riches guy started from the bottom in Pasig and rose to fame as one of the most sought-after battle rappers and hip-hop artist in the world today.

He talks about his life, his struggles, run-ins with the authorities, controversies, and worldview in this interview.

This is the culmination of the segments that we have uploaded for the past week since our interview with the "King of Rhyme" last June 22nd.

While interviews are not our staple for our daily show, this episode shows to our fans at Usap Usap University that the discussions are not just one way from our usual vlog episodes.

Many thanks to Rudebwoi Lion for assisting us with the schedule and keeping us update until the interview date. Thanks to Miss Idyll Li, Loonie's manager, and to the man himself, Marlon "Loonie" Peroramas.

Statement from JR Lopez Gonzales | Usap Usap University Milestones

When I started the concept for a news, political and current affairs show, I was not expecting too much but I had a vision. Not everyone likes politics and it'd have been different if I produce videos about Vice Ganda or Kris Aquino.

I was in South Cotabato when I thought of finally putting up a YouTube channel, a political show in particular that showcases the latest issues in the country. I was thinking of an avenue where I can share my thoughts and opinions on a pressing issue; and where viewers can also voice out their opinions and have a place to be heard.

Here comes now. Three days before my birthday, the channel has surpassed the HALF A MILLION mark with close to 4,000 subscribers in less than 3 months. I am thankful to all of my supporters especially coming from the Philippines, the United States and Saudi Arabia where I get more than half of my total channel views. Not bad for a non-Showbiz vlog.

Usap Usap University is a daily show and it sure requires a lot of commitment from my part yet, I can't complain. With all of your support, likes, shares, private messages; all those give me and my assistant Judy, the fire to continue with this endeavor.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the 2.5 MILLION watched minutes for our show - thanks for letting us feel that what we do deserves to be watched on YouTube. It's alternative media and we're just getting started.
